Shell Helix HX8 0W-20 SN Plus works hard to help keep modern engines clean and protected. It helps to prevent the formation of harmful deposits that can lead to performance loss and helps to reduce engine friction to provide enhanced fuel economy, particularly suitable for applications in vehicles from Japanese and American manufacturers.
It is also suitable for use in modern direct injection turbocharged gasoline engines where it provides protection against damaging low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI).
